Art in the Park

It's official! I am an artist that has her own art booth at a local art festival! -- Huge deal!  Reality probably began to set in as soon as my banner showed up at the house. The business cards with "Christine de la Cruz" written on them left an impression as well. I think only women experience some difficulty with changing their last name after getting married.  I still haven't legally changed it, but I am planning to, so I might as well have everything on this Art endeavor have my soon-to-be changed Mrs. de la Cruz name. (I'm sure my husband is ecstatic!)
The first show I'm lucky to be apart of is Kiwanis Art in the Park Festival in Coral Gables, FL.  I will be displaying the first friday of every month from November '10 through March '11. (Gee its going to be 2011 already.. where did 2010 go?)
The show was a success thanks to all the support and help from my family and friends. I was able to meet and greet people visiting the show and really get to see what paintings they were more attracted to. I have a lot of things to do for the second show to make it even better. Can't wait! Taking this week off to get a breather but back to it this weekend and over the holidays.  Hoping to post if not daily weekly.
